Role Overview

The individual in this role will inspect client facilities to ensure they meet company standards, foster relationships between the client and the company, easily engage with our employees and provide coaching to them as needed and offer general assistance and support to the company as required.  

The schedule for this position requires flexibility, with on-call duties. The individual in this role will generally work Monday through Friday, second shift. This is an on-site managerial role that oversees multiple locations. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and oversee employees on-site at assigned facilities.

  • Perform on-site inspections of assigned facilities, ensuring cleanliness standards are met at each location and are aligned with client needs and safety guidelines. 

  • Effectively communicate compliments and complaints from clients to employees and office personnel to maintain and improve work processes and procedures. 

  • Cultivate strong relationships with our clients in assigned facilities to ensure we are meeting their standards.

  • Enhance employee skillsets and provide support in areas where needed. 

  • Maintain employee performance management according to company procedures. 

  • Train new staff on routines and proper cleaning procedures to meet standards.

  • Responsible for keeping inventory of supplies and communicating supply needs to the office. 

  • Knowledgeable about safe and proper cleaning practices and chemical usage, in accordance with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications 

  • At least 3 years of experience in housekeeping, residential, commercial, or industrial cleaning required. Candidate must also have previous experience in a supervisory role. The preferred candidate will have supervisory experience in a previous cleaning or janitorial role. 

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree or higher is a plus.

  • Ability to effectively communicate between multiple points of contact, including the client, the office, and employees. 

  • Exceptional customer service skills to serve our clients and employees effectively.

  • Willingness to learn about our clients to meet their needs appropriately.

  • Must be highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

  • Must be willing to travel to client buildings in Buncombe County and within the WNC region. This position will be travelling 50% of the time.   

Physical Requirements: 

  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work area; must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, and reach overhead and below.  

  • Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. 

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout shift 

  • Ability to climb stairs is required 

  • Manual dexterity with the ability to operate small commercial cleaning equipment
